Coffee++ respects, ensures, protects, and recognizes how important the security and privacy of its customers are. Based on these principles, we have established our Privacy Policy. Coffee++ recommends that its customers be aware of these practices.

 

DATA

Coffee++ values and respects all the principles established in Article 2 of the General Data Protection Law (LGPD). The discipline of personal data protection is based on the following principles:

  • respect for privacy;

  • informational self-determination;

  • freedom of expression, information, communication, and opinion;

  • inviolability of intimacy, honor, and image;

  • economic and technological development and innovation;

  • free enterprise, free competition, and consumer protection; and

  • human rights, free development of personality, dignity, and the exercise of citizenship by natural persons.

The term “Registration Information” refers to all data capable of identifying the customer, including name, address(es), email address, telephone number(s), ID number, taxpayer registry (CPF), or other information necessary to make personal or professional contact. This information is always provided by the customer when filling out one of the forms available on the Coffee++ website. In other words, we at Coffee++ collect this data to enable our customers to register on our website. In cases such as the subscription to our Specialty Coffees, we also request billing information.

Users, regarding their personal data, have the right to obtain from Coffee++, at any time and upon request, access to their data, correction of incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data, confirmation of the existence of processing, anonymization, blocking, or deletion of unnecessary data.

This policy is deemed accepted and formalized as soon as the customer enters their information or registers on our website to enjoy our products and/or services, even if free of charge.

 

 

DATA PROCESSING

Coffee++’s personal data processing activities are conducted in good faith and in compliance with the principles of purpose, adequacy, necessity, free access, data quality, transparency, security, prevention, non-discrimination, and accountability, as established in Article 6 of the LGPD.

According to Article 7 of the same law, the processing of personal data will be carried out:

  • with the customer’s consent or for compliance with legal or regulatory obligations by the data controller;

  • by public administration, for processing and sharing data necessary for the implementation of public policies provided by law or regulation, or supported by contracts or agreements;

  • for research purposes by research institutions, ensuring anonymization whenever possible;

  • when necessary for the execution of a contract or pre-contractual procedures requested by the data subject;

  • for the regular exercise of rights in judicial, administrative, or arbitration proceedings;

  • for the protection of life or physical safety of the data subject or third parties;

  • when necessary to meet the legitimate interests of the controller or third parties, except where fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject require data protection; or

  • for credit protection, in accordance with applicable laws.

Customers have the right to easy access to information regarding their data processing. Coffee++ provides such information clearly, adequately, and prominently, as required by law.

The processing of personal data will end when the intended purpose has been achieved, when the data is no longer necessary or relevant, upon the end of the processing period, upon communication by the data subject (including withdrawal of consent), or by determination of the national authority.

Personal data will be deleted after the end of processing, except when retention is authorized for legal or regulatory compliance, research purposes (with anonymization whenever possible), transfer to a third party (in compliance with legal requirements), or exclusive use by the controller with anonymized data.

Coffee++ is committed to protecting its customers’ “Registration Information.” In addition to internal privacy and data security methods, the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations aimed at safeguarding privacy.

Collected information is used to provide services, deliver products, and offer new services, products, features, and promotions — always respecting user privacy and data confidentiality.

 

 

PASSWORDS

In areas that require user authentication and passwords, only the user will have access to their information. It is important and recommended that customers never share their passwords, as they are personal and non-transferable. If any unauthorized use is detected, access credentials should be promptly changed. Coffee++ is not responsible for misuse of passwords by customers.

 

 

SECURITY

Coffee++ uses e-commerce systems and security firewalls to prevent webstore breaches and provides protection for the collection and storage of sensitive data, preventing third-party intrusions and ensuring that only authorized personnel have access.

The credit card number used by the customer to make a purchase is only used at the time of the transaction and is not stored in Coffee++’s system. Only the customer’s basic personal information is retained.

Coffee++ regularly inspects its networks, servers, and security systems to ensure high levels of protection according to current technological standards.

The company is responsible for informing users of any security incidents that may pose a risk or significant harm. Such communication will be made within a reasonable timeframe and will include details of the incident.
